Ziya : Karleo Bride

Coming from a family of interfaith Parents, our young dynamic bride Ziya always dreamed of getting married in a white wedding gown, with a veil and the entire white wedding shenanigans. Hers was no interfaith marriage, she was clear she wanted a white gown but it needed to adhere to the aesthetics of the religion she respected and followed. This was an interesting challenge and something we at Karleo always looked forward to.

So after our first meeting with Ziya where she presented her ideas to us we grabbed the opportunity with open arms, sat down, put our heads together and came up with sketches and ideas which then we presented to Ziya a few days later…

  • A structured Gown done in white Mikado Fabric would give her petite frame elegance, sophistication and confidence which is much required by every bride on her special day.
  • The bodice would be a high necked Chinese collar with tapering coat sleeves, with tonal embroidery across the entire bodice
  • A narrow crystal belt added that touch which was needed to emphasize the structure of the gown.
  • The hem of the skirt would be done in the same embroidery running in an upward direction at strategic points giving the gown an ethnic feel.
  • The veil was our main concern, but when the idea of using a hijab dawned on us, the finish look for the gown was sealed.
  • Attaching a cathedral veil to the hijab with embroidery done at the borders completed the ensemble which was the deal clincher and ensured our bride Ziya that she could have total faith in Karleo
And the pictures you see say it all….
