A Cannes Moment with Simi Garewal

Karan & Leon

There are some women whose presence carries a timeless elegance, and Simi Garewal has always been one of them. Her grace, attention to detail, and effortless sophistication have remained iconic through generations. So when the opportunity came to create her Cannes look, it felt like a natural extension of everything Karleo stands for — understated luxury, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.

For Cannes, the vision was clear from the beginning: to create something that celebrated both classic international glamour and the richness of Indian artistry. Staying true to her signature white palette, we designed a look that felt soft, elegant, and deeply refined.

The ensemble featured a layered tulle skirt adorned with delicate hand embroidery, paired with a custom-structured corset that brought modern elegance to the silhouette. To complete the look, we added a beautifully cascading overcoat detailed with fine white threadwork — creating movement, texture, and quiet drama in the most graceful way.

Every detail was approached with care, from the construction and embroidery to the final styling. The beauty of the ensemble truly came alive in the way she carried it — with poise, charm, and effortless confidence. Simple, elegant, and chic, the look felt like a perfect reflection of both her personality and the design language of Karleo.

For us, this was more than creating a red carpet outfit. It was about telling a story through craftsmanship and silhouette, while honouring a woman whose elegance has always inspired so many. From the first sketch to the final fitting, the entire journey of creating this look was incredibly memorable for our team.

Cannes will always be special, but being part of this moment with Simi Garewal made it even more meaningful for us at Karleo.

The story that built us

Some days, it feels like Karleo is just the two of us figuring things out as we go.
