Karleo was born from a shared vision, where the richness of Indian aesthetics meets a refined Western approach to design. What began as a creative collaboration gradually evolved into a label shaped by craftsmanship, culture, and a deep appreciation for couture sensibility. Each Karleo garment is thoughtfully created for life’s meaningful celebrations. Simple silhouettes are elevated through rich textures, delicate embroidery, and refined detailing, where contrasts blend seamlessly into harmony. Every piece reflects a quiet balance between artistry and elegance. Rather than following fleeting trends, Karleo designs with individuality at its core. Every creation is shaped through a collaborative journey between the client and the designer, ensuring that the garment reflects the personality, vision, and story of the person wearing it. From couture to demi-couture, each piece carries the same meticulous attention to detail, craftsmanship, and finishing, bringing to life an experience that feels as personal as it is timeless.
Meet the Designers
Karleo is the vision of designers Karan Berry and Leon Vaz, whose shared passion for craftsmanship and thoughtful design led to the creation of the label.
Karan Berry, a multidisciplinary designer and creative director, brings a diverse perspective shaped by his background in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, and Indian Aesthetics, along with experience across styling, apparel design, visual merchandising, and product development with brands such as Spykar Jeans & Twills, Tata International, Being Human, and The Designer’s Class. He has also contributed to design education as a mentor and academic consultant at institutions including ISDI, NIFT, Symbiosis, NMIMS, and Whistling Woods.
Leon Vaz, a graduate of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi, built his foundation through experiences with designers such as Varun Sardana and Nitin Bal Chauhan, and by working with export houses connected to global couture labels in Paris, New York, London, and Milan. Together, they bring complementary perspectives to Karleo, combining design thinking, craftsmanship, and a collaborative approach to create garments that celebrate individuality and life’s most meaningful moments.
